Hello all!

Welcome to 5th grade!! I hope you all had a fun and relaxing summer break and also hope that you're refreshed and ready to get back to work.  For those of you who know me, I am extremely light hearted, I love to laugh but I like to get work done.  This year you are going to work hard and push yourself harder than you thought possible to become a smarter human, a more empathetic person and the best version of yourself.  I look forward to seeing all of you and cannot wait to start our year together :).

Rap Recap

This week, we recapped some top news stories from the summer. But we couldn't cover everything that happened! For this week's contest, we want you to pick a news story from this past summer that we didn't include in the Summer Recap and write at least six lines of rap explaining it. Start by researching your story and identifying the most important points to include. Then, put it to rhyme! You can use Flocabulary’s new Lyric Lab to write your rap. Learn more about Lyric Lab here.

Note: Students, your teachers must submit for you. Any video submissions should be horizontal.
