Hey class,
It seemed like you all had a fairly restful weekend and are ready to get back to work. This week, you will start your first formal "informative/explanatory" writing piece. (Your "My Life" assignment will give me a good idea of your baseline writing skills.) It is important to note that all of your papers will be shared with me on googledocs and you will engage in peer edits using this tool as well. If you do not have access to a computer for any reason (there will be times that you may not finish in class) you should speak to me in advance so I can accommodate your needs as best as possible.
For homework tonight:
Math: P.O.W. due Friday 9/13
Language Arts: My Life due tomorrow
Reading: Reading Reflection
Social Studies: study for quiz on facts 1-8 (tomorrow)
Tomorrow's special: Music

The "My Life" assignment, is it suppose to be done at home or school? The instruction my have been lost in translation.

Hi, Shona! Colin should turn in his final draft tomorrow. I did make an announcement at the end of the day that students who would not be able to turn in their work should talk to me before they left. I never mind giving extensions but I do want all students to get in the habit of being self advocates and communicating their needs :). If he needs more time, he can get it in to me later this week.
DeleteWe are not able to bring up his account. Well we can but google+ says it cannot run google+ for BSD. Any ideas?

Colin says he has one more item to add to the page and it looks like BSD will not let us access anything. It would be great if we could access it and do the work at home.

Shona, no stress. Googledocs should be able to be accessed on all computers but the kids' bsd accounts have a different email address ending. (So instead of "@gmail.com" is is "bsd.somegarbageidontremember.") I will figure out what it is and will let Colin know tomorrow. Have a great night :).
