4. Age of discovery (why the Explorers came to the New World)

Figurative Language has been part of great writing from Shakespeare's time to today. For this week's contest, send us your best metaphor, or figurative comparison. Be as creative as you like! The only rule is that it must be 100% original and not borrowed from an existing work.
